INCENTIVE:

At the point from which I’ve taken her, Thea is dying from her connection to the Lazarus Pit and her refusal to hurt anyone to indulge it, Nyssa has the thing that can save her and Malcolm is being Malcolm and refusing to negotiate to save his daughter’s life because he’s trash. Laurel would accept the city’s deal in order to save Thea without having to play League of Assassin politics.

FIT:

Laurel also spends a lot of the show outside of a romantic relationship, but she has always been shown to be incredibly affectionate with her friends, whether it be holding hands, linking arms, or giving hugs when needed. (She’s probably the most huggy person on the show.) As far as we’ve been shown in canon, there are no sexual hang ups of note and I would even go so far as to say she’s pretty adventurous when she’s found the right partner and it’s someone she trusts.

CONSENT:

Laurel is the epitome of informed consent. She’s lost a lot and has been betrayed by a lot of people doing things without her knowledge so she does her best to be honest and straightforward with everyone she’s dealing with, except for when her hands are tied by someone else (usually Oliver). Trust is hugely important to her, since hers has been broken so many times in the past, but once that trust has been earned, she is all for all kinds of cuddling.
